SO PACKED! Why did I think that at 4pm it would not be this busy on a Friday, ugh... had to get on the MAX with the stairs up to it and had to carry my bike. Yuck... But it worked and I did the 2 mile bike home afterwards. it was kind of fun, but lots of work. I'm outta shape indeed.

A Side Comment

To all the women out there (and men who might feel threatened too): Don't wait for the situation to happen. Maybe it already has, will, or never will happen. Don't wait. Be safe. Protect yourself and your body. Love who you are and be prepared if anything were to happen. I was lucky, but will be ready if it happ...ens again. Pepper spray, a whistle, and a self defense class is my preparation. Are you prepared?

 The Daily MAX: Oct 7th, 2010: Got asked, AGAIN, is I was registered to vote. No biggy, so I asked him a question I had always wondered. "How did you get this job?" He told me "off of craigslist"... hmmm... "does it pay well"... "no, not really"... "minimum wage?"... "$12 an hour plus a bonus"..."WHAT?! Oh man..." ...I felt like crap, lol

The Daily MAX: Yesterday, Oct 6th, 2010: I was sexually harassed and threatened. Long story short... thought I was getting hit on in a creepy way, then right before the guy got off he said "mmmmmm girl, that is why I have my bike, so I can track girls like you down"... that's when the help of my boyfriend and family... told me to go to the cops. Now I am looking into pepper spray and a whistle.

The Daily MAX: Road my bike just in time to catch the MAX, but with this came messy, tangly hair that was not pulled back. I got on... a man was looking at me as I was pulling the tangles out, so I said... I think I road too fast. He just kept looking. Turns out he was a homeless guy just going to the next trash ca...n and did not have very good social skills but I still said "have a nice day" and he smiled

The Daily MAX: Thursday, Sept 30th. While waiting for the MAX in Pioneer Ct house Sq. I was not really shocked, but I laughed, at the interesting people walking around. The Daily MAX: 9.28.2010

The Daily MAX: My first day taking my bike on the MAX. What an experience! When waiting for the MAX, I was practicing the lifting I would have to do in order to hook my bike up. Yes, I said practicing. Now, once the MAX came... I had a little note to myself (in my head) that many people laughed at. Note: Don't ever... try to hook up your bike when the MAX is going uphill. Gravity will NOT work with you on this one.

I've decided to start something: The Daily MAX, by Heather Phinney... Today on the MAX coming home from school, there was a man who quickly said "Watch out! It's raining on the MAX!" I was stunned by his comment but with a rain drop quickly hitting my head, I looked up to notice the AC unit on the train was broken a...nd leaking. lol... raining on the MAX, I just laughed.
